25 Projects We Loved at This Weekend’s 2022 Collectible Design Fair in Brussels
The Brussels design fair Collectible is probably the only fair in the world we’ve participated in more times than we’ve attended; back when it was new and just getting off the ground, we curated a booth there three times (Chen & Kai x Mimi Jung, Objects of Common Interest, and Ben and Aja Blanc) without ever being able to be there in person. This past weekend marked the fair’s fifth edition, and while our schedules still failed to align with an IRL visit, we did our best to round up our favorite participants from afar, everything from old favorites like Maarten de Ceulaer’s stained glass lamp series — which got a few new additions this month — to exciting new discoveries like Sarah Becchio and Paolo Borghino of Errante Architetture, who debuted a series of hardware-free MDF coffee tables that are totally over-designed in the most surprising and amazing of ways. Muller Van Severen launched new lamps, Maniera launched new chairs, and Paris duo Paola Sabourin and Zoé Costes launched a resin coffee table that makes us weirdly thirsty for a glass of chilled rosé.
