Hotel Tonight is well known for offering last-minute deals on hotel bookings, but not everyone associates the app with design and boutique hotels, though they comprise a large percentage of its properties. In 2018, Sight Unseen worked with the brand to help spotlight that fact. We commissioned the up-and-coming New York City design duo Steven Bukowski and Hannah Bigeleisen to dream up the ideal hotel suite and then bring it to life inside a 100-square-foot room in our Sight Unseen OFFSITE show, complete with a fully stocked minibar. Then we worked with Hotel Tonight to develop an influencer program with key design tastemakers, inviting them to come to New York, stay in a Hotel Tonight property, and post about both the conceptual hotel room and their real-life accommodations.
